Who are you?

I am mutant_sues, the last defense against Mary Sues in the Pit of Voles... well, at least in the Avatar section. I am but a humbly jaded fan who has been scarred by fanon and Sues. Why the name "Mutant Sues" for an Avatar Journal. Well, originally I intended for this to be a X-Men Sue Journal. Unfortunately, I didn't get around to starting. Besides, can't all Sues be considered mutants?

Why Avatar?

Because, dear readers, Avatar continues to run amok with its growing fandom. As the original Avatarsues has left, I feel it is this fan's duty to pick up where they left off. I can only hope to become as great as she.

What is your rating system?
My rating system begins with Great and ends in Tea Sludge.


This rating is for an all around amazing character. The characterization is beautiful and there isn't anything remotely sueish. This rating is very rare.


Not bad at all. While the Sue is not really a Sue, there are still a few noticeable problems. This may include OOCness or super bending powers on occasion. However, the character is overall pretty good.


An average, boring Sue. It's just the same old stuff we've heard again and again. Nothing special at all.


The Sue is starting to become "super speshul" now. Whether it's ___bending or instacrushes, this Sue is not good at all.


Good Lord! This is absolutely horrid. This Sue is too powerful, too emo or just too perfect. There could be massive amounts of OOCness as well.
